Eligibility

  • In order to be eligible to submit a project, you must be an undergraduate student, a high school senior, or you must have been one of these within one year prior to the event (Ex: you can be on leave, or have just graduated). 

  • If you are a minor, you must have a parent’s permission to participate in this event.

  • No more than 4 people in a team. 

 

Hacking Rules:

  • You may brainstorm projects before HackHolyoke, however projects must have been started during the hackathon (no continuation of previous projects). Anything you submit must be purely the work completed within the allotted time limit. 

  • Hackers must submit their own original project (we do not condone plagiarism in any form)

  • Use of API’s and open source material is allowed as long as they are credited in the submission. 

  • One person from each team must fill out our Intent to Submit Form by 11:30 PM Saturday November 7th in order for their project to be eligible for submission. 

  • Hackers must submit their final projects and presentations on devpost by 11:30 AM Sunday, November 8th in order for them to be judged.

  • All members of a team need to be registered to officially submit a project.
  • Hackers are required to submit their code or commit their code to public repositories.
  • No cross-submission is allowed.
  • Video should be 3 minutes.

 

Respect:

  • Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees.

  • Behave professionally. 

  • Harassment of any sort is prohibited. Harassment includes, offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, and/or religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events,  and unwelcome sexual attention. (Remember we are an all-inclusive community and want everyone to feel welcome and safe!)

HAVE FUN! Take this time to be innovative, get to meet really cool people, and learn something new.



**Attendees violating these rules may be asked to leave the Hackathon at the sole discretion of the Hackathon organizers. Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, friendly event for all!
